At a press event in Turin, Lancia reaffirmed the key role the new Ypsilon will play in the overall strategy of the marque.
It was hinted that the new Ypsilon, rebadged as a Chrysler obviously, could be sold stateside. Though in its current form, the car does not conform to U.S standards, this could easily be changed and the car produced at FIAT's plant in Mexico.
The FIAT group will be monitoring the interest and performance of the U.S. specced FIAT 500 before they decide taking the Ypsilon on the other side of the pond. The future of the American version of the Delta has also not been decided.
